# 二枚爪（split nail）

### **二枚爪とは？** 

爪の先端が層状に分かれて剥がれてしまった状態です（医学的には「爪甲層状分裂症：onychoschizia」と呼ばれます）。

### **二枚爪ができる仕組み** 

爪は一枚の板ではなく、[**ケラチン**](/docs/definition-of-words/nono/kerachinkeratin.md)**というタンパク質が層状に重なった構造**をしています。 

一般的に**爪は3つの主な層**（背爪・中爪・腹爪）から構成され、さらに微細な層が多数重なっています。 

厚さの違いは、**層の数だけでなく、各層を構成する細胞（ケラチン細胞）の厚さや密度**によっても変わります。 薄い爪も厚い爪も二枚爪になり得ますが、**薄い爪の方が層が剥がれやすい**傾向があります。 一方、厚い爪は一度二枚爪になると修復に時間がかかりやすいと言えます。

### **二枚爪を誘発する主な要因：**

#### **水分の影響** 

爪は**スポンジのように水分を吸収・放出**しやすい性質があります。 水に長時間触れると、爪の層と層の間にある**脂質（油分）を含む細胞間接着物質（二重層構造）**が乱れ、層同士の結合が弱まります。 これが繰り返されると、層が剥離しやすくなり、二枚爪の原因となります。 特に**繰り返しの濡れと乾燥**が最大のリスク要因です。

### **対処・予防方法**

1. #### **先端の処理を丁寧に** 

   爪切りではなく[爪やすり](/docs/koh/nailcare/crystal-nail-file.md)（できればガラス製）を使い、先端を滑らかに整えます。 毛羽立ちや段差をなくすことで、層の剥がれを防ぎます。
2. #### **水からの保護**

* 爪表面に[**ベースコート**](/docs/koh/base-coat-top-coat/long-lasting-base-coat.md)**や**[**ネイルカラー**](/docs/koh/colors.md)を塗ってバリアを作ります。
* 水仕事や食器洗いの際は**ゴム手袋**を着用してください（手袋の内側が蒸れる場合もあるので、保湿ケアを併用）。

3. #### **保湿を徹底** 

   爪と甘皮周囲に[**ネイルオイル**](/docs/herome/nail-care/nourishing-nail-oil.md)**や**[**ネイルクリーム**](/docs/herome/cuticle-care/cuticle-cream.md)をこまめに塗布し、層同士の接着力を保ちます。 特に水仕事の後や就寝前が効果的です
