# 爪生来のうるおい（natural nail moisture）

爪は、爪母（そうぼ）でつくられる時点では、十分なうるおいを持った状態で生まれます。これは、爪が生まれながらに持っている、いわば「生来のうるおい」です。

しかし、爪が爪母から指先に向かって伸びていく過程で、この生来のうるおいは少しずつ失われていきます。さらに、加齢や生活習慣の影響により、爪はより乾燥しやすい状態になっていきます。

乾燥が進むと、爪が割れやすくなったり、二枚爪になったり、表面がガサガサしたりといったトラブルが起こりやすくなります。

爪のうるおいは、こうして時間が経つにつれて自然に減っていくものです。だからこそ、外から「うるおいを補う」だけでなく、爪が生来持っているうるおいを「今のうちに守る」ケアがとても大切になります。爪の美容液オイルなどは、失われやすいうるおいを外側から守り、乾燥を防ぐ役割を果たしてくれます。
