# 甘皮（cuticle）
後爪郭から爪の表面へと伸びてくる薄い角質です。後爪郭内部を密閉して、外からの異物・細菌・乾燥から守っています。ただし完全に塞いでいるわけではなく、爪が成長しながら前進できるよう、爪板にやわらかく添っています。甘皮を強く押したり過度に除去したりすると、後爪郭内部が無防備になり、感染リスクが高まることがあります。
