# 爪母（nail matrix）

爪の一番根元にある、新しい爪を作る細胞群です。

ここで爪の細胞が生まれ、先端へと押し出されながら伸びていきます。爪母が健康でなければ、丈夫で美しい爪は育ちません。爪母は皮膚の奥深くにあり、外から直接触れることはできません。
